This specially designed fiber optic data interface kit allows the computer and the USB 2.0 camera head to be separated by up to 500 m without the loss of data. This kit consists of two compact, high speed transceivers (interface modules) for completely transparent operation between the host computer and the camera.

The Fiber Optic Interface Kit is ideal for hazardous or high EMI environments, and supports the PIXIS family of cameras as well as spectrometers with USB 2.0 data interface.

Key Features

Data throughput

The USB 2.0 fiber optic data interface kit is able to throughput data at a maximum of 480 Mbits/sec. This occurs at an output power of 5V, 3A maximum over a distance of up to 550 m. For distances up to 275 m, a 62.5 μm/125 μm multimode fiber is appropriate. For distances greater than 300 m a 50 μm/125 μm multimode fiber should be used (fiber not included).

Connectors

When connecting the USB 2.0, the fiber connector is a LC to LC duplex, with the camera/spectrometer connector the USB 2.0. The host end module is a 1xUSB type B, duplex LC, with the camera end module a 4x USB type A, duplex LC.

Stable Operation

The USB2.0 is compatible with windows 10/8/7/XP and Linux operating system, with a working temperature between 0 – 50℃. The USB2.0 is compact, with dimensions (W x H x L) of 100 mm x 76 mm x 26 mm (3.94” x 2.99” x 1.02”) and weight of 0.3 kgs (0.6lb) each.
